1. In the app (immediate)
- Open GeoCrystal and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Tap Profile at the bottom, then Settings.
- In the Account section tap Delete account and confirm with Delete forever. The same button is also in Edit Profile.
- If you have not signed in recently, for your safety the app will ask you to sign in again before continuing.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
2. By email (without the app)
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to info@starlyware.com from the email address of your account, with the subject "GeoCrystal - Account deletion". If you signed in with Google or Facebook, write from the email address linked to that account.
We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days of the request and let you know by email when it is done.
3. Data That Is Deleted
- Sign-in account (email, password or Google or Facebook link)
- Profile: name and photo
- Catalogued minerals with all their photos, including those published in the community showcase
- Wishlist and explored places
- Suggestions sent and app rating
- Mineral identification counter and "Supporter" purchase data
The field notebook is stored only on your phone: we do not delete it, it is removed when you uninstall the app or delete its entries.
4. Data That Is Kept
- Content previously removed by moderation: any archived copy is kept until the expiry chosen at removal (at most 12 months), then deleted automatically.
- Accounts suspended for violations: email, name, date and reason of the suspension may be kept to prevent further abuse.
- Log of administrative operations: up to 24 months, for security.
- Internal moderation notes: kept as long as needed to protect the community and to handle disputes, then deleted.
- Server technical logs: normally 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Reports of identification answers: they stay without any link to your account.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
- Google Play orders: kept by Google according to its legal obligations. Deleting the account does not cancel or refund purchases.
5. Deleting Only Some Data
Without deleting your account you can, directly in the app, delete single catalogued minerals, remove a mineral from the showcase by withdrawing your consent, remove minerals from your wishlist and places from your explored list, and change your profile name and photo.
