Prismtide 2 The Grey Tide: a new pixel-art adventure under the sea

The story

Seven shards, seven colors, ten seas

After the rescue in the first Prismtide, Coral Bay had its colors back, and Rayn and Clio went back to their games. But down in the Ink Trench someone was watching them: Inkora, a giant octopus who has never had a color of her own.

One morning a grey wave rose from the abyss. Wherever it passed, the colors faded. Clio was the first: his orange and white disappeared, and so did his smile. Only Rayn resisted, because his colors come from the Prism Pearl. And the Pearl had been broken into seven shards.

Seven guardians keep the shards across ten seas. Along the way Rayn meets Granny Tilda, an old turtle with many stories, Dolfy, a dolphin who never stops talking, and an old acquaintance: Dredmaw, the megalodon from the first game, who is not so bad after all.

Hold on, Clio: Rayn is coming. Again.

And this time Clio is not just waiting to be rescued: in some levels you play as him.

Chapter 2 of a story that began in 2008

Godot 4 GDScript Pixel art Google Play Billing MSIX

Prismtide, released in 2026, is the remake of Oceano, the first game Gianluca Grasso made in 2008, at eight years old. That game had 20 levels, but the original project was lost.

Prismtide 2 is a new game, not an update: twice as many worlds, new abilities, new characters and a new story, made with the same engine (Godot 4), the same pixel-art style and the same care.

Some things come back from the first chapter: the coins, the pearls, the message bottles and, of course, a few easter eggs. Finding them is up to you.

New to Prismtide? Start from chapter 1: it is not required to play the second one, but you will understand why Dredmaw is in the story.
