Delete your StarlyLab account

You can delete your account of the StarlyLab app (developed by Starlyware) and all the related data at any time, directly from the app or by sending us a request by email.

1. From the app (immediate)

  • Open StarlyLab and sign in with the account you want to delete.
  • Tap Profile at the bottom.
  • At the end of the page, in the account section, tap Delete account and confirm.
  • If you signed in a long time ago, for your security the app will ask you to sign in again before going on.

The deletion is immediate and permanent.

2. By email (without the app)

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to info@starlyware.com from the email address of your account, with the subject "StarlyLab - Account deletion". If you used Sign in with Google, write from the linked Gmail address.

We may ask you for a confirmation to verify that the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days of the request and let you know by email when it is done.

3. Data Deleted

  • Sign-in account (email, password or link with Google)
  • Profile: name and photo
  • Progress counters, points, level and badges
  • Secrets of the lab found
  • Counter of the questions to the AI tutor
  • Data of the "Support the developer" purchase

4. The Lab Notebook

The experiments, measurements, recordings and photos of the notebook are not on our server, only on your phone: deleting the account does not erase them. You can delete them in the app (page by page) or by uninstalling StarlyLab.

If you turned on the Google Drive backup, the copy is in your Google Drive: you can delete it from the Google Drive settings, in the "Manage apps" section, and revoke StarlyLab's access from your Google account.

5. Data Kept

  • Purchase fingerprint: an encrypted code (hash) of the purchase token, only to prevent the same purchase from being used twice. It cannot be traced back to you.
  • Accounts suspended for violations: email, name, date and reason of the suspension may be kept to prevent further abuse.
  • Log of administrative operations: up to 24 months, for security.
  • Internal moderation notes: kept as long as needed to protect the community and to handle disputes, then deleted.
  • Server technical logs: normally 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Anonymous, aggregated statistics, which do not identify you.
  • Google Play orders: kept by Google according to its own legal obligations. Deleting the account does not cancel or refund purchases.

6. Deleting Only Some Data

You can change the name and photo of your profile without deleting the account, and sign out at any time: the notebook stays on your phone. For any other request write to info@starlyware.com.
