Starlyze The community for amateur astronomers, astrophotographers and skywatchers
Share your night-sky observations, find the darkest places to watch the stars, follow the Moon and the year's sky events and study unidentified aerial phenomena with a critical, data-driven approach. Starlyze is the astronomy social network made for people who look up.
Astronomy is better shared
Starlyze is an Android social app dedicated to astronomy, developed by Starlyware, an independent studio based in Chieti, Italy. It is made for amateur astronomers, astrophotographers, deep-sky observers and anyone curious about what happens in the night sky.
Publish deep-sky shots, planets and celestial events with a full technical record (telescope, optics, camera, mount, date, time and place) in dedicated categories: astrophotography, celestial events such as eclipses, conjunctions and meteor showers, and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP, often called UFOs). Follow your favorite observers, discuss in nested comments with mentions and plan night sessions in private chat.
To choose where to observe, the interactive map shows the best dark sky spots away from light pollution, rated on the Bortle scale from class 1 to 9 and with their altitude, and you can add new spots for the community. The UAP radar shows the geolocated sightings of the last 30 days, which the community rates for credibility, to encourage a critical and transparent approach.
